Solarcal-D™

Pure Marine Coral Calcium,
Magnesium & Vitamin D3

If you are not using Solarcal-D™, you may not be getting enough calcium, Vitamin D and magnesium.

Current research confirms most of us are not. For example, if you live in a northern state, the harsh winters can deprive you of valuable sun exposure that is necessary for producing Vitamin D (often called, The Sunshine Vitamin). Due to shorter winter days, the sun's rays come in at too oblique an angle to spur the skin to produce appropriate amounts of Vitamin D.

Harvested from the pristine waters off the islands of Okinawa, Japan, Solarcal-D™ contains one of the highest grades of coral calcium. Within that blend are 2000 IU of Vitamin D3, and 180 mg of Magnesium.

How is SolarCal-D™ different?

What makes Solarcal-D™ with marine-grade calcium superior to other calcium? The secret is the way it's processed. Coral reefs continually disintegrate. The pieces that break off are called coral sands (coral calcium). These pieces are pushed out to sea by ocean currents. The coral sand is then harvested by gentle suction dredges, usually 2 to 3 miles downstream from the reefs. This process keeps the coral beds environmentally safe. It also produces the highest-grade marine coral calcium available on the market today.

Other calcium from this area is land-mined and is called rock coral, which has been exposed to the elements and has fossilized. The minerals have been washed away by weathering, lowering the amounts of calcium and magnesium. It's also no longer considered to be pure. Although this produces coral calcium, it's far inferior to marine-grade coral calcium.

Calcium Deficiency May Promote Breast Cancer

David Douglas has recently written on the Reuters Health website about animal studies conducted by researchers at the ANZAC Research Institute in Concord, Australia.

Their research indicate that a deficiency in calcium, which accelerates the rate that calcium is absorbed back into the bone, promotes breast cancer tumor growth in bone. The results are published in the Cancer Research journal (October 7, 2007).

The studies’ lead researcher, Dr. Colin R. Dunstan, told Reuters Health that “calcium deficiency, due either to low calcium in the diet or to vitamin D deficiency, is very common in older women, who are also the population at highest risk of breast cancer and breast cancer bone metastases.”

Calcium Nutrition Labels Can Confuse Consumers

Do you understand the nutrition labels on food products regarding the recommended daily input of vitamins and minerals?

Three studies (published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing) by researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee had consumers and doctors look at nutrition facts labels and decipher them.

The researchers concluded that food labels showing calcium as a percentage of daily intake confused consumers seeking to meet their recommended quotas. Both they and even some physicians had trouble interpreting the information so they know how much calcium is actually contained in food products.
